This is the Ruger U-Force .22 caliber air rifle -- an affordable break barrel pellet gun that has everything you need for plinking, pest control, or small game airgun hunting. In .22 caliber standard lead pellets that weigh around 11 to 12 grains can achieve a velocity of 900 feet per second. This rifle's gas piston break barrel design ensures smooth and reliable one-stroke operation, while the dovetail scope mount allows for easy customization with the included 4x32 scope. Using the Ruger U-Force is simple. First, put the rear of the rifle against your thigh or where your leg meets your hip. Grasp the stock behind the trigger guard. Then with your dominant hand firmly tap the barrel near the bottom of the muzzle brake to crack it open. Then grasp right behind the muzzle brake and pull the barrel all the way down until it stops. You should hear a click or two and the barrel should not be under tension once it has been pulled down all the way. Now load a pellet into the hole in the breech block with the skirt of the pellet to the rear. Now close the barrel. Be sure to keep your fingers away from joints and moving parts. Once cocked and loaded, point at a target with a safe backstop, aim at the center of the target, put the rifle on fire, and squeeze the trigger. Remember, at times keep the rifle pointed in a safe direction and always keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until you're aiming at a safe target.
