This seatpost features proven saddle clamps combined with Titanium hardware, offering a robust 1.614 inch (41mm) seat rail grip length. This extended grip length helps prevent bending of the seat rails from impact loads, surpassing most other seatposts by at least 0.5 inches.
The Thomson Masterpiece Ti Seatpost is engineered to endure up to 350 foot-lbs of torque, with the tube beginning to yield and bend at the seat tube clamp around 250 foot-lbs. In the event of a severe impact, the seatpost will bend slightly, allowing the rider to safely stop or continue the ride. All parts are captive, enabling easy attachment to a seat without disassembly. It offers infinite tilt adjustment from minus 5° to plus 29°, and its low-profile clamps ensure no interference with the seat, as the swivel nuts are positioned between the seat rails.
