Explorations in Consciousness: An MFA Thesis

A UFO encounter in 1992 forced Justin Snodgrass to reconsider his view of reality. Three years later, he began having spontaneous out-of-body experiences. Other strange events followed, and soon, the paranormal seemed mostly normal. In search of a framework that could explain the extraordinary encounters, he began researching a variety of topics, including religion, philosophy, metaphysics, meditation, lucid dreaming, and quantum mechanics.Explorations in Consciousness is Justin’s Master of Fine Art thesis submitted to Laguna College of Art and Design. In it, he shares his paintings created from 2011 to 2015 and discusses their deep and compelling origins.
